Joseph Stalin’s Rise to Corruption
Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili was born on December 18th, 1879 in the town of Gori, Georgia. Gori is about 50 miles west of Tbilisi, Georgia’s capital and is located on the major thoroughfare connecting Eastern and Western Georgia. It has seen more than its fair share of conflict ever since the Middle Ages. The Alans, who themselves were fleeing the Mongol Horde at the turn of the 14th century, captured Gori, only to be pushed back over the Caucasus Mountains 20 years later by George V. Every century following the Georgian victory, Gori was sacked and sacked again by the Ak Koyunlun in the 1400’s, the Persians in the 1500’s, the Ottoman’s in the 1500’s, regained by the Georgians at the turn of the 17th century, again, only to be lost to the Persians 20 years later who would fight the Ottomans on and off for the next 200 years. When the Georgians finally regained control in the 1800’s, the Russians annexed Georgia (BBC – History).
Born to devote, well-to-do Catholic parents, Joseph Stalin (his adopted name meaning “heart of steel”) spent seven years at a Jesuit school as its star pupil (One-Evil). No one, however, could have ever guessed his rise to power, and the countless lives he was going to sacrifice on the altar of his thirst for control. Gori was the perfect breeding ground for one of the worst dictatorial minds the world has ever seen to gain experience and confidence. Backed by the Jesuit Seminary, steeped in Marxist philosophy, and posing as a Jesuit priest, Stalin was entrusted to infiltrate the Russian Tsartist Government – he was a young man living in a world where an underground movement was starting to bloom into the Bolshevik takeover of the Russian empire.
In an effort to impress the Bolsheviks, he started to stage bank robberies and extortions, sending the money to the party and forcing Lenin to admit him into the party. 10 years later, on the brink of extinction in 1910, Stalin called for a witch-hunt in which a number of key Lenin supporters and intelligentsia were murdered. He was again imprisoned, later to be released during which he moved to St. Petersburg to start the immensely influential Bolshevik newspaper, “Pravda” (One-Evil).
The Bolsheviks, upon their revolution, executed the entire royal family as well as many dukes and their families. Embittered, many Russians called for a counter revolution and so began the Russian Civil War – but the Bolsheviks prevailed. However, the war had taken a terrible toll on the entire country as it lay broke and broken. Thus Wall Street and American Jesuit bankers decided to step in and fund the new Soviet Union on one condition – that Stalin be given a lead
ership position within the party. But that would not be the end of the story. It was obvious to Lenin that Stalin was still under the influence of the Jesuits and so tried to eliminate him. Instead, Stalin murdered Lenin at the age of 53; so began Stalin’s blood bath reign of terror (One-Evil).
One of the first things he did was appoint a classmate from the Jesuit seminary to run the gulags in Siberia. Then he virtually disbanded the Russian Orthodox Church by 1940 and begun massive deportations of Jews and other ethnic minorities from their homes. Whether in the furnaces in Siberia or in the train cattle wagons, millions upon millions died.
He made the Nazis look like 2nd rate crooks and Hitler like his young apprentice. Hitler had his millions – Stalin, his tens of millions. Hitler had his short walk to power – Stalin had his pilgrimage to power. Hitler starved the Jews – Stalin starved his own people. Hitler tried to conquer Europe – Stalin effectively did, creating the Iron Curtain.
Many people in the Soviet Union remember communism with favor because of the pride they took in their country’s political clout; in addition, they remember that after communism had settled in, they never starved again. But the curtain fell at the end of the 80’s and the start of the 90’s, desperation again setting in. Inflation sky-rocketed and food became scarce. Putin took power and was president from 2000 to 2008, bringing some stability. His successor and protégé, Medvedev, continued in his stead, as Putin took Medvedev’s Prime Minister position. After just one term, Medvedev has nominated Putin to “run” again as president.
Putin was once a poor KGB chief. Now, he follows in Tsarists footsteps. This looks all too familiar. The new Tsars are in power – this time, however, they do not call themselves kings; instead, these Russokeptocrats just have billions of dollars in their bank accounts, wielding them to maintain a stranglehold on power. Moreover, Tsar Putin’s Russia continues to suppress any opposition to the Kremlin; such as lead disruptions of opposition activities, put restrictions to state-controlled TV, advocate the murders of journalists and anti-corruptions activists, promote violations of human rights, torture, and promote the corruption of the legal system (Ventism).
People of Russia, rise again! Do not let Putin and his mafias and oligarchs take away your freedoms. You are a great people who do not need to be ruled by an iron fist – are you that stupid and undisciplined to rule yourselves? Remember Stalin and how the ends that were gained by corruption led to the eventual demise of your country.
